Energy Performance Audit - How productive is your building?

Building efficiency research

Research has revealed that simple adjustments to a building’s heating and ventilation systems can have a substantial effect on employee health, wellbeing and productivity, as well as reducing energy costs. The end result has a significant impact on your bottom line.

“What many businesses don’t understand is that by using property efficiently, treat it as a resource to be optimised, it can deliver tangible benefits in employee performance through increased productivity and wellbeing”

Richard Kauntze, Chief Executive of the British Council for Offices

Making your building work for you

We understand that optimising your building is about more than energy costs. Research by the  Carbon Trust suggests that appropriate adjustments to temperature controls alone can improve productivity by up to 11%. Our Energy Performance Audit showcases the added value of your property for your business, including direct savings on your energy bill and CO2 footprint.

3D visualisation of building performance

The Energy Performance Audit is powered by DesignBuilder (3D visualisation) and incorporates EnergyPlus (the U.S. DOE building energy simulation program) for modelling building; heating, cooling, lighting, ventilation, and other energy flows. The impact of changes to the building or the way it is used is compared with your predefined performance indicators.

“Where green buildings have generated higher sales prices, the increase in value is largely driven by higher rental rates, lower operating costs, higher occupancy rates and lower yields”

The Business Case for Green Building - World Green Building Council 2013

This visualisation of geometry and performance aids understanding and helps communication between you and the technical staff. Informed decisions can be made and monitored. The end result is an optimal understanding of building performance, ensuring a building that best meets the ongoing needs of your business.
